Partner Profiles GEOFF NICHOLAS, LL.B.
Geoff graduated from the University of Canterbury and was admitted in 1983. After joining Welsh McCarthy, he became a Partner in 1988.
Geoff acts for a number of commercial companies and has been extensively involved in giving legal advice in relation to their business operations.
Geoff has a substantial number of Trust clients. He has wide experience in the area of Trust formation and administration, including asset transfers to Trusts, gifting programmes and the protection of trust assets.
Geoff has a large number of farming clients and advises on all aspects of their business operations. This includes the sale and purchase of farms, leasing, Sharemilking Agreements including 50/50 and Lower Order operations.
Geoff is a Trustee of the Taranaki Hospice and is also a member of the South Taranaki Hospice Committee.
Geoff owns a DIZ250 and a short wheel base Landrover 2A. In his spare time, Geoff participates in trail rides throughout the district, hunting and 4 wheel driving.
Geoff is married to Karen and has two children.
