Eric Watt was brought up on the family dairy farm in Kakaramea.
Upon leaving school, he worked in various capacities on dairy farms, finishing on a 700-cow conversion farm at Whakamaru on the Central Plateau.
Finding that far too cold, he enrolled at Victoria University, to study law and graduated in 2003.
He has since worked at the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, New Zealand Police, and the Ministry of Social Development, where he specialised in all aspects of privacy and information law.
In April 2007 he happily returned to Taranaki to begin work with Welsh McCarthy. Eric works in the commercial, employment, and farming law areas.
