Kate Hughes joined the firm in March 2008.
Kate grew up in Taihape in the Central North Island, assisting her father in his rural veterinary practice. She went to High School in Wanganui and studied her LLB at Otago University.
After finishing her studies, Kate spent some time working in Wellington and then five months traveling overseas before coming to Hawera.
Living on a sheep and beef farm outside of Hawera with her partner, Kate enjoys being involved in the local community. Among other things, she is involved with the Hawera Riding for the Disabled Association and volunteers for other groups in the community. She also likes to support any local social functions.
Kate practices in all areas of law including residential and commercial conveyancing, family, employment, estate planning and trusts.
