Janice grew up in Tahora, just past Whangamomona on a sheep farm, where she assisted her parents for a number of years on the family farm after leaving Stratford High School. While helping her parents on the farm Janice ran her own stud Simmental cattle business.
After some time on the farm Janice decided to attend Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki and study for the Legal Executive Certificate. Janice enjoyed the law enough to decide to become a Lawyer. Janice attended law school at Victoria in Wellington and come home every holiday to carry on working on the family farm.
Janice was first employed in New Plymouth for three and a half years before joining Welsh McCarthy in October 2011 and became a Partner in 2014. Janice handles matters relating to Retirement Villages, rural matters including Leases and buying and selling farms, Residential Conveyancing, Commercial Conveyancing including Leases, Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Estate planning, employment law and Maori Land issues.
Janice's outside interests include overseas travel, working on the family farm, diving, swimming and spending time with her partner and young daughter.
